Today’s post is about the Application Deadlines of the Universities. This post will not be specific with respect to each and every university but I will discuss these deadlines in a general way. I always believe the earlier you apply the better. It’s always good to apply early for a University than to apply on the last few days where you need to really step up the speed of carrying out the process for Applying for the Universities.
So The Universities start accepting the Applications for the admissions for MS one year before itself. The Application deadline as I earlier said will vary from one particular university to another. But in general if we see, the Top Universities of USA end the Application process for Fall by December itself. So if you are willing to target the top universities, You need to apply to them before December. But if you see lots of Universities accept the Applications till February, I am talking here with respect to Fall semester.
Below is table which show the Application Deadlines of different Types of Universities. This again is with respect to fall Semesters.
|Types of Universities||Application Deadlines They Generally Set|
|Top 20-25 Universities||Generally till November.|
|Average Universities||Generally till Feb-March.|
|Below Average Universities||Generally till Apr-May.|
|Other Universities||Generally till July.|
So again this is a general application deadlines that these Universities follow. If you apply within these general deadline, I say you have applied in the Safe Zone, which means you have applied at a perfect time. Sometimes it happens that Universities extend there Deadlines, but you don’t want to be in that Zone. So the earlier you apply the better.
The Question that I get from most of the Students is that will universities accept my application after there Deadline? It depends on your application. If you are really a great talented student with a great GPA, GRE and TOEFL score and a good SOP and LOR, even the top universities will consider your application.
So to Conclude please remember, “the earlier you apply the better”. Hope this post was helpful for you.
All The Best.
